JOB SUMMARY

The Spark BBQ Line Cook is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations through food preparation, cooking, service execution, cleanliness, and maintaining food quality standards. This role contributes to creating an exceptional guest experience by preparing food efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting teammates wherever needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to Spark BBQ recipes, quality standards, and service expectations.
  • Assist with daily food prep, cooking, plating, and kitchen production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, prep areas, cooking equipment, smoker, and food pod spaces.
  • Support opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department standards at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate product or supply needs to leadership.
  • Assist with food service by taking guest orders, operating POS systems, and delivering completed orders as needed.
  • Process guest transactions when supporting front-of-house operations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and hospitality team members to maintain smooth service during peak periods.
  • Jump in to support additional operational tasks as needed.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous line cook, kitchen, food prep, or restaurant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced operation.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Flexible and adaptable in an environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Positive attitude with a team-first mentality and willingness to support coworkers.
  • Comfortable interacting with guests and providing friendly, helpful service when needed.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.

COMPENSATION

Compensation ranges from $13–$17 per hour plus tips, based on experience and qualifications.
